Why we chose “The Search for the Giant Arctic Jellyfish”
On occasion, you’ll pick up a book and be able to tell as soon as you open it that you are holding something special in your hands. In this blog article, we’d like to introduce you to one such picture book: “The search for the giant arctic jellyfish”. Chloe Savage’s book creates a magical atmosphere from the very first page. Even the front cover is enticing: the illustrations of the Arctic Circle, the crew and the equipment arranged by color immediately captivated us – and the story hadn’t even begun.
Dr. Morley, a young researcher, has big plans: together with her team, she wants to find the legendary Arctic giant jellyfish. For months, they traverse the majestic landscape of the Arctic. Surrounded by endless ice, they find belugas, seals, narwhals, orcas and polar bears – only the mysterious giant jellyfish refuses to show itself. Or does it?

The illustrations are beautiful and have a peculiar charm. Our favorite picture, which reminds us a little of “Balea” by Kalandraka Verlag, shows the everyday life of the researchers and the interior of the ship.
Kids will like
The adventurous flair that characterizes this book will inspire children’s imaginations. The pictures invite children to take a closer look and invent their own stories. The fact that the giant jellyfish is playing hide-and-seek and the children are one step ahead of the team of explorers is of course particularly exciting.
Adults will like
Chloe Savage has used her imagination and skill to create a book that will delight both children and adults. The book is an engaging story both dreamy and exciting at the same time!

The picture book “A Tale of Two” is also dedicated to playing hide and seek. During an imaginative game of hide and seek in a library, the main characters discover the magical world of books. They meet Heidi, Mowgli and other children’s book heroes. “A Tale of Two” is aimed at children aged two and over. It endearingly captures the fascination for timeless play and offers a wonderful opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of children’s book classics.
