2 Minuten Lesezeit
Boo! Did we scare you? No? Perfect! Because our latest DIY idea is anything but scary, we promise! While the leaves are dancing outside in the most beautiful autumn colours and the days are getting shorter, the excitement for the spookiest, most wonderful holiday of the year is growing: Halloween! And what would Halloween be without a few friendly little monsters? Exactly! That’s why we’ve come up with something extra special for you to make the wait for trick-or-treating a little shorter and to keep everyone creatively busy: our free printable monster dice!
The wildest gang of dice in the world
Our activity sheet features a whole gang of fun monsters just waiting for you to bring them to life. The craft template includes:
Three vibrantly coloured monster designs: each with its own charming personality. Which one will be your little one’s favourite?
A blank die to design yourself: this is where you can let your creativity run wild! Whether it’s a spooky ghost, a funny vampire, or a fantasy creature: anything goes!
What you’ll need for your monstrously fun crafting afternoon:
– Our free template
– A printer
– Sturdy paper or card (approx. 160-200 gsm) for more durable dice
– Scissors, a glue stick, and coloring pencils
Here’s how: Print: Download the template and print it out on sturdy paper. Color: Grab your favourite colors and have fun colouring in the monsters and the blank die however you like. Cut: Carefully cut out the dice templates along the solid lines. Fold: Carefully crease along all the dashed lines. It’s easiest if you score the lines with a ruler first. Glue: Put glue on the tabs and assemble the die piece by piece. Press gently, let it dry – and your first monster die is ready!
Game ideas for even more monster fun
Are the dice ready? Awesome, then let the fun begin! How about…
Roll a monster story: Take turns rolling a die and telling one sentence about the monster you rolled. You’ll end up creating the funniest and craziest stories! Monster faces: Which monster did you roll? Try to make the matching silly face! Monster moves: Think of a movement for each monster. For one you might hop, for another you could tiptoe, and for a third you could wave your arms wildly.
Have fun!
