Which baby names were the most popular baby names in Australia 2023?
Our favourite poll is back for the second year running. Once again we’ve dug through our treasure chest of names and looked in more depth at the names chosen by customers who purchased our personalised baby book, “Welcome to the World”. Want to see who came in first place? Read on.

The most popular girls’ names in Australia
The list this year is full of newcomers! Olivia is at number 1 with Aurora taking Aria’s position in 2nd place this year. Popular in the US and the UK in recent years Olivia’s been in the top 5 two years in a row. Another newcomer, Gabrielle is at number 3 with Lily being pipped to the post this year and dropping to 4th place. Our 5th place this year was yet another newcomer, Tilly.

The most popular boys’ names in Australia
Much as with the girls, the boys’ list this year is also all newcomers except for one. For the 2nd year in a row, Hugo has reached the top 5. Although this year it’s in 4th place with Hunter being in 5th. In 1st place we have Harley, followed in 2nd by Thomas and Ezra replacing Henry this year in 3rd.
