Our top 5 baby names 2022: The most popular baby names in the US
Which baby names were the most popular baby names in the US 2022? With this question in mind, we once again delved into our treasure chest of names and looked in more depth at the names chosen by customers who purchased our personalized baby book, “Welcome to the World”. Read on to see the results.
Our hugely popular baby book introduces a child to our wonderful planet while inspiring parents to find wonder in the world around them. The books are printed locally and as with all Librio products, they’re printed on 100% recycled paper too, though you’d never guess. As well as being able to personalize the name and appearance of the child, you can also personalize the parents. Whether you need it for Mom and Dad, two moms, two dads or single parents, everything’s possible! The book’s available in a variety of languages including Albanian, Norwegian, Italian and French.
The hugely popular name, Amelia once again made it into the top 5 baby names this year. In last year’s selection it came second, after Olivia whereas this year, Olivia has gone down to 4th place. Interestingly, the name Emilia has topped the charts with our German speaking customers so the variations of the name were apparently very much the favorite this past year. Charlotte has also made it into the top 5 again although Nora and Emma have pipped last year’s Sophia and Isla to the post.
The most popular boys’ names in the US
Much like last year, Jack, Oliver, Leo and Luca have remained in the top 5 with Oliver taking the lead over the others and taking first place. The name Noah, which was also one of the top 5 last year has been outshone by the name Henry this time around instead. Funnily enough, similar to how our German customers love the name Emilia, Noah’s still proven just as popular with them this past year and has reached the top 5 again for the second year running.
Every couple has a different approach to finding the perfect first name. Some expectant parents know right from the get go, while others decide only on the day of the birth. Generally speaking, many choose a short name for their child. Our data shows that the trend of recent years towards short baby names continued in 2022.
No matter whether short or long: It gave us a lot of pleasure printing our picture books for all the newborns this past year to welcome them into this wonderful world of ours. If you want to surprise a family with our baby book, you can order your own copy here. Our personalized art prints are also popular gifts for a birth.
Baby name popularity in the US compared with other countries
